“For me, failing to provide my children with an education was not an option.” I applaud you for saying that part. I am glad you advocate for your child’s right to a proper education.

Beverley, this is so true. Three kids... three completely different approaches. What worked for one would have been a disaster for the other two. The one-size-fits-all thing never sat right with me, even when we started with traditional school. You're always educating the child in front of you, not the idea of a child. 🤍

So precise. The child in front of you is always the curriculum.

I couldn't agree more. Looking back, I think one of the greatest gifts we can give our children is the freedom to be who God created them to be instead of expecting them all to learn, grow, or respond the same way. The methods change. The curriculum changes. Even our expectations often need to change. But the child in front of us is always the priority. When we really see them, we parent and teach from relationship instead of comparison. 🤍

Love this Beverley - your words and thoughts around education are becoming more and more prominent as many see the system has failed, since forever. It is always great to find like minded experienced people in a field that can seem too big to jump into. I also have some great resources made to bring Living Systems work into education - so if you ever want access to any of it let me know and I'll send you the links. Thank you for your time and energy in this.

I had a quick look at your Teachers Resource Year 1-3 and love it. I especially like that it offers a ‘how to’ help a child explore their world, and the way learning is framed.

I recognise that it is written for teachers in classroom settings but that the principles are universal and apply to home learning environments too.

Most homeschoolers want something simple and easy to read and digest, and I think that standalone simple guides specifically built on your ‘facilitation invitations’ could be popular and useful.

I remember how hard it was to know ‘how’ to help my child learn, the art of teaching - it doesn’t come naturally to most homeschooling parents. It’s something we pick up through experience - what works and what doesn’t work with each child, which feels clumsy and often wasteful of time, energy and resources.

i really appreciate your thoughts with this - so much work went into building this out - and using the various ways - like the 'parents/families' age companions are different to how I have structured the educators ones - so that some are coming from a childs inner work perspective compared to how we maybe offering that space from an educational perspective. Thank you so much for taking the time with that
